Will only play with one type of toy???

My son is a wild and rambunctious little dude. My dad bought him a basketball a few months ago and since then he won’t play with ANYTHING other than balls. The first thing he says when he wakes up in the morning is “ball???” And the last thing I do every night is pry a ball from his sleeping hands.

I tried to keep all balls out of his bedroom and only have them downstairs but he will stand at the door and say “ball? Ball? Ball?” Over and over until I take him down. He throws his balls and chases them, plays catch with us, bounces them, dribbles them while he’s crawling, and puts them into buckets and his basketball hoop, but it’s RELENTLESS. Is anyone else’s kid like this?

I assume it means he will be athletic or something but MAN this kid has a million toys and only wants his balls!
