Does talking in complete sentences by 15 months old automatically make a child gifted?

I’m assuming it would make them “gifted” in language, maybe not other things. What do you think?

No. My friend's son was like that, while mine didn't say much at all until almost 2 years old. Now both boys are almost 3 years old & my son's language is definitely ahead of her son's. Maybe in a year it'll be totally different again. Similarly, the age a kid starts walking has nothing to do with his future athletic ability. They all just hit the basic milestones at different rates.

No. Some children talk sooner than others, just like any other milestone.

No I work with two year old and have found that parents that don’t do baby talk tend to have kids that speak better and more clear and have a more advanced vocabulary than those who do speak in baby talk. There are also some kids that have delayed speech. This doesn’t mean that they aren’t as smart as other kids just that they’re developing a little skier in that aspect of life.
