Pregnant and snowboard??

Question

Is it safe to snowboard at 6 weeks? I rarely fall and if I do it’s always rather gentle compared to a regular snowboarder. I haven’t been to the doctor yet so I can’t ask them.

I would pass on it. The risk of miscarriage in the first trimester is so high as it is that it’s probably best to not... even if you don’t fall very often. I would imagine most doctors would say the same.

I've been skiing/snowboarding since i was 3, (so 21 YEARS WOW) and i knew i would not be snowboarding this season. It's just not worth it to me, also i was so weak and dizzy first few weeks being at that elevation just scared me. I told myself IF something happened i would blame myself so much for choosing to do that. You do you, but is it really that fun when you have to worry that much?

I'm an experienced waterskiier and assured my doctor that I could get up and drop off gently without falling and she still said not to do it---im guessing your OB would say the same about boarding.  Apres ski?

Yeah I wouldn’t. I’m a snowboarder and as soon as I found out I was pregnant I was instantly upset because came winter I wouldn’t be able too. Don’t take the risk! Just wait till your not pregnant
