I’d like to see photos of everyone who had a small courthouse or small church wedding. Meaning under like 50 people and no reception after.

Here’s my situation:

I’m 20 years old. I have two more years of school to complete my dental hygienist bachelor degree. I’m also 20 weeks pregnant. My fiancé has a LARGE family. If he could, we’d have over 100 people on just his side of the family to invite.

I will finish my pre-rec classes this semester, have the baby in June, and i will start my two year program NEXT July, so the baby will be just over a year old and he will go into daycare.

I’d like to get married before we have the baby, and my fiancé just wants to do a small courthouse wedding and only have his parents and my parents there. He says we will have a bigger wedding in a few years when we can afford it. I feel like the bigger wedding will never happen, bc there will always be better things to spend the money on after you have babies to take care of.

I want to have a small wedding at the church i grew up (Baptist). His close family about 20 people and my close family will be total like 35 people. I want to have a wedding dress ( my grandma said she would pay for my dress and the cost to use the church around $100). I just want to feel beautiful and not feel like i need to wait for another big day. After the wedding we will all just go eat somewhere for dinner or go to his grandparents house and BBQ.

His argument is that if we do that and only invite certain people, it looks like we don’t want others there and he doesn’t want to explain to people why they weren’t invited (not in the budget to cater for 150+ people)

I don’t know what to do. 😩. I just want to feel beautiful and special and i don’t want to “wait” for a better celebration.
