Mamas trust your instincts

My sons had a bad cough for 5 weeks. Last week he started throwing up and having diarrhea. Our pediatrician didn’t do test or anything and said it was just a stomach bug. I went with it. This past Saturday he started running a fever of 102.1 and getting a rash and bumps on his body along with crazy crying and no sleeping, called the pediatrician and took him in Monday. The doctor didn’t let me express my concerns and said it’s a common cold and 102.1 isn’t considered a fever for a 9 month old. Let the cold run it’s course he will be better by June.... I left very unhappy and still concerned. Monday night his fever got to 102.7 and wouldn’t break. He cried even in his sleep. Tuesday morning I called a new pediatrician for a second opinion. They immediately started blood work when they saw my son and turns out he had very high white blood cell count due to a bacterial infection. Had to get two antibiotic shots yesterday and go back for two more this morning. Please trust ur instinct and don’t fully rely on doctors. Especially when you know something is wrong. I’m so furious with his old pediatrician. That situation could have went south so fast if I would have “let the cold run it’s course”
