Stubborn dog

I have a dalmatian boxer mix who is 2 years old that we adopted not long ago. She hates her tags and I can't find a way to keep them on her collar. She pulls at them until she breaks whatever is holding them on. I've tried the metal rings and even zip ties and nothing works. Any suggestions?
