I’m feeling very annoyed with family on both sides..

I am a ftm, currently 14+6. I have a history of loss, that family didn’t know we were experiencing until we were through it (meaning they did not know of the pregnancy at the time, just of the loss/procedures etc after).

Both my husband and I are very private people. Neither of us do the whole social media thing...

We decided to share the news of our pregnancy with just our parents (and my sister, because she lives with my parents) on Christmas that we were expecting.

Ever since then we have been pressured to tell more people/everyone. His sisters, his extended family.. so that they (parents) can also tell all of their friends (Facebook as well, which I plan on shutting down as our child will NOT be posted on any platform ... that’ll be a battle for another day 🙄). We’ve been told “well it’s weird that you haven’t told them/that you’re waiting”.

I’ve been asked “how long do you think you’ll be able to hide this/keep it a secret”. Like I’m ashamed or something. That is not the case, and it is absolutely infuriating having to explain to people who are aware of my previous loss.

I can’t believe that women are so... emotionally stupid. It’s mostly our moms going on at us. I understand that neither of them have experienced pregnancy loss (lucky them), but I figured as a woman who has had children... you would have a general understanding.

I wish we still had not told anyone. I loved when just we knew about the baby, and had even joked about just not telling anyone until the baby was born... letting everyone think “wow she’s really gained a lot of weight again”.
