Clomid fail?

Has anyone every have their first round of Clomid fail and your doctor not change anything? I did not ovulate and I didn’t even get my period, now I’m taking medication to induce it. My period can all over the place but I ALWAYS get it, Ranges CD25-35! I’m currently CD 44, 6 days into my period induced pills. They said they won’t change anything until round 3 unless round 2 follicles are the same as this round. Which was one 7mm on the left and one 8mm on the right.
