Sweeeeps ???

Question

Had a sweep today at 39+6 at 11am midwife said cervix was thick and could just about get her finger in! What’s the chances of labour happening? No pains or anything. Another booked for Saturday

If baby is ready to make an appearance then chances are high. If he/she is stubborn like both my boys were, it simply won't do anything. I had one sweep with my first at 40 weeks (didn't work) and two with my second (at 38+1 and 39+1), also didn't work. You never know though!

I agree with the first comment, I had one yesterday my doctor told me my cervix was soft and I’m 1cm since last week. I’ve been having cramps since yesterday super uncomfortable and I’ve been loosing my mucus plug along with bloody show but no sign of baby yet... at this point I think baby will come when he’s ready 😢😅 I’m just trying to relax... will update if anything happens today
