Antibiotics cause yeast infections ?

Can antibiotics make an yeast infection worse ? I bought the monistat the same day I got on antibiotics and day 2 on the pills I’ve notice my heat infection smell is getting alil stronger ? So I don’t want to take my monistat until about day 7 on my pills (I have to take them for 10 days) I was going to do them both at the same time but when I notice the smell getting stronger I thought it’ll be a waste until I finish the pills . And I’m on antibiotics for a ear infection , somehow my earring is stuck INSIDE my hole 😩 yes the diamond and all sunk into my piercing hole, swelled up and the Er doctors couldn’t get it out so they sent me home with antibiotics and referred me to plastics . Just Incase anyone think I have a std or something lol

Actually yes. Antibiotics kill all bacteria good and bad which can cause yeast infection. That’s why it’s good to take probiotics while taking antibiotics

Yes they do. And it doesn't matter on the antibiotics type. They all do! Just take your full course as you were prescribed and when you're at the end of the course use the Monistat. Taking monistat at the same time won't do much because the antibiotics just make it worse all the time. You can also ask for a fluconazole prescription and take it at the end of your course. I'm having reccurent yeast infections for about 2 years and I can say I'm almost an expert for it haha!

Yes. I would. Have thought in this day and age it's quite common knowledge but clearly it's not. Doctors really need to start making mention of this when prescribing antibiotics.

They have an antibiotic with sulfur in it which helps keep from getting a yeast infection... my daughter had this problem a few years ago around age 6... and the dr give her the different antibiotic with the sulfur in it to keep her from getting a yeast infection... my mother in law had the same problem... I told her about the meds they give my daughter and she asked the dr about it... he said you know what you’re right... put her on that one and she didn’t have a problem

Yes my best friend, gets them often when she son antibiotics . Ask your doctor to change the antibiotics .
