Do you use a blanket on your sleeping baby?

Question

I’ve read it’s more of a Nordic/Scandinavian thing to put a blanket on your sleeping baby, is this true? Won’t they get cold?
I’m from Finland and use a blanket.

I live in the US and here we mostly use fleece footy pajamas and wearable blankets so there isn’t a risk of baby pulling the blanket over their face and suffocating.

I’m from uk and I use sleep sacks. Like a sleeveless fitted sleeping bag. They’re brilliant. Keeps them warm but no worries about suffocation that you would get with a blanket.

We used a sleep sack which is a wearable blanket which comes in different densities so they don't get cold. We used one until my LO was about 15 months and then I gave him a blanket. I'm in Canada so it's cold here most of the year.

We only use a light blanket for naps when were awake to watch the monitor. At night we just use sleepers. She runs warm so she cant tolerate a sleep sack. She sweats like a pig lol. In the USA.

I did not give my daughter blankets or any stuffies till she was a year old. I don’t like the suffocation risks. My 4 month old is currently swaddled. And will eventually go in a sleep sack till he’s a year.

I'm a premmie mum and my buns were wrapped in a swaddle and then jad a blanket over them firmly tucked in in NICU, my son went to just swaddles cause it was summer when he came home, but my daughter kept both swaddle and blanket cause it was winter when she came home

Depending on the age and the temperature, a sleep sack or footed pjs if it's really cold then a blanket.

I’m from the US and here the safe sleep guidelines say not to put anything in the crib with them. My little one wears footed pjs and has a fleecy sleep sack so she stays toasty, if it’s extra cold I put socks on her inside her footies

I swaddle with a blanket, thick if it's cold or thin if it's warm. I live in Canada and have only had winter babies so far, so we'll see how my spring baby does in a swaddle this time
