I'm Being Induced!

Tomorrow is my official due date with my second baby boy. I have gestational diabetes- diet controlled- (this is my first pregnancy with it) so I'm being induced tomorrow morning at exactly 40 weeks! My fiance and I are really excited and anxious. Is there anything we should know or expect? Anyone else ever been induced? The midwife said depending on how dialated I am will determine which medication they give me. They try to avoid IV medications so they will most likely do a gel that goes into my cervix, any one have any idea or experience with that? I'm just super excited to finally meet my boy! My first was adopted at birth because I was very young and not in a good place to raise a child, but I still get to see pictures and hear all about him from the family ❤️ ( I'm kind of a FTM this time).
