Im scared

So I took birth control for like a month but because of the fact that it made me feel sad every time I decided to no take it &’ that was like on the month of December when I stopped taking it. I dont know if birth control messes up your cycle but this month I haven’t gotten my period and there’s been no sign of it maybe only some cramps for a couple minutes and after that nothing. Me and my boyfriend thought that I might be pregnant so I took a pregnancy test on January 18th but it came out negative and today is the 23rd and I still haven’t gotten my period. my period has always been irregular but last 2 months I got it on... I wanna say the 13th &’ like the 20 something. Could I be pregnant or am I just late on it ?
