Has anyone had a hysteroscopy before?

Has anyone ever had a hysteroscopy before if so was it painful? How soon after were you able to have sex? Did you take anything beforehand to ease the pain? I have had an HSG in which my Dr. Said would be painful however it didn't hurt at all. So I'm wondering if the hysteroscopy will be the same pain wise.

I did, good news was no blockages or signs of pcos or anything, if you do you may have some pain if it’s blocked or kinked. So just know that., you may have some cramping also during which can be a little whew I did but everyone is different !

I was not put to sleep. It was uncomfortable but not terrible. It’s over so quick too.

I had one and was put to sleep for it. That's usually what they do. I didn't have any pain or discomfort afterwards. I couldnt have sex for a week but I had an endo biopsy in the same procedure so I think that was why

They put you under for the procedure so you don't feel a thing. You will just feel groggy afterwards. They say you will have cramping after but i didn't have any. And sex was fine after.

Thank you everyone. I had it done today and I was awake. I must say it is pretty cool to see your uterus on the screen. He found 2 fibroids he wants to remove.  So I will be having surgery.
