Can anyone give me their experience with a stitch please? Consultant has discussed me having one around 16weeks

My 1st pregnancy I went into spontaneous preterm labour and delivered at 24weeks.

We sadly lost our little boy just before he turned 6 weeks old.

2nd and 3rd pregnancy ended in early miscarriages

So it’s been mentioned for me to have a stitch in at 16ish weeks to prevent early labour again. I’m now 13weeks today.

Did it help you at all? How was the procedure? I was given a leaflet about it all but if I can get some real experience and opinions from people that would be great!
