18 year olds probably make better judgements than older people who vote as they have just learned about everything in highschool.

Keep at 18. But I tell you what, it's very annoying when I read people's comments and it's like "You're 16 you don't need to be political"
So 16 is too young to give a fuck about politics but 2 years later you tell them "GO VOTE!"

It's a complicated question and the answer is complicated as well.
I firmly believe that if an individual is old enough to enlist and risk their lives for our freedoms then they should absolutley have the right to vote.
That being said, I think some in the older generations, sometimes find fault with the younger because of the misguided ideology they might have. I can remember being 15 years old and having a firmly set idea of what the world should look like with laws and legislations that made sense to me. Fast forward some years and I can truly say that none of my old ideas really made any sense. I was young and idealistic and didn't know anything. Things like experience, discrimination, loss, gain and living taught me the differences...and it's the experience that's lacking.
There is alot to be learned from the prior generations. The people who lived thru socialist and communist regimes for example. They are the ones who will really give you an idea of what you are trading when you "agree" to have the government make decisions for you. What you will inevitably loose by taking the "free education" and on and so forth. 
There is also the issue of younger generations being impulsive and driven by sound bites and clippings. It's always really telling when you get into a heated debate with someone regarding their political preferences for a candidate or party and after a few moments you realize they have no idea what the candidates agenda is, what Bill's they've supported in the past, what their platform goal is or even what their voting history is. They just kinda go with their gut, and it's scary for those who take the time to actually research.
All in all, age shouldn't matter....but you should know a candidate's colors like the back of your hand before you pull the lever....and know more than just what the repercussions for you TODAY will be think about tommorow, next year and beyond. What this person's ideology will mean for your children. Just be informed.

I think every age should be the same. Whatever age someone can exist their lives to be on the frontlines of our country is the age that tobacco, alcohol, & voting should be as well. Those men & women go through hell over seas in war.
