TMI warning...

So my period was supposed to start yestarday and it hasn't arrived yet. I haven't had too much cm, just a little but mostly dry which I know normally happens before a mental cycle. After washing my hands thoroughly, I checked my cervix position as I read that can help tell if it's close or not. At first it was up so high I could barely touch it yesterday. Then early this morning it was lower to were I could easily feel the opening (closed and a little cm). Now it is raising back up high and still no period. I read though that the texture is important and mine is really firm like the tip of my nose which tells me I'm not pregnant. Has this happened to anyone else? I haven't been able to find my situation online. Think it might be stress related but I'm lost (and probably just worrying for nothing as this happened a couple months ago) lol. But I was hoping to hear that I'm not alone. Thanks in advanced!
