My rough 2 yrs old

My daughter is 2.5 years old now and we are expecting another baby in july. My daughter has become very rough, dosent listen, we always catch her being rough with the cat also. Weve been trying to teach her to play nice and be gentle so shes not so rough when the baby comes.

Everytime I talk.to someone about this I always get "its normal" " it's the terrible 2's" and I get that, but I just wanted to see what other mothers on here have to say about this.
