How old were your kids when you started letting them stay with grandparents overnight?

My in laws live over an hour away and have asked if when our baby is a little bigger, if it can stay the weekend with them maybe once a month. They are concerned the baby won’t know them very well since we don’t get to spend a ton of time with them.

They’re amazing people. Lawyers, business owners, share the same values as us as parents, and just all around loving. I definitely understand where they’re coming from. My husband and I think this is a great idea since we want our kids to have a relationship with their grandparents.

I’m just worried I’ll have such a hard time spending two days away from my baby. Although, my husband and I love our alone time together and it will always be a priority for us.
