I did multiple flights before my first US. I was regularly throwing up so I packed a bunch of plastic bags in my carry on that were easily accessible in case I needed to throw up. I didn’t feel any worse in the air than I did on the ground. As others said bring snacks. Bring a water bottle you can fill up after security so you don’t have to wait for the flight attendants.

I flew from America to The Netherlands at 5 weeks and back at 7 weeks. (Trip was planned before pregnancy.) Flying there was pretty fine except having to pee so much haha, definitely try to get an aisle seat. The way back was pretty miserable, morning sickness had set in. Bring your own snacks and hydrate hydrate hydrate! The airplane recirculated air will dehydrate you. And get up to stretch often, will help with your circulation. Good luck!

I did Seattle to Florida when I was 8 weeks along (I think that’s around 6 hours flight time??) I had morning sickness (lots of nausea but no vomiting) but I didn’t feel like the flight made it any worse, I did wear compression socks & got up to pee a lot just to be extra careful, @ the time the Zika virus had just become a thing & my OB’s office was more concerned about that then my flying, at any rate I had no major issues & it had no impact on the rest of my pregnancy

Thank you. I'm so worried about being ill but I just hope I'm not 🤞🏻

I said no but then realized maybe NYC to LAX counts? It’s not across an ocean so I didn’t consider it long haul. But what’s the connection with the 12 w scan and flying?

I think there is always an increased risk of clots, especially later. When I flew after 30 weeks I wore compression stockings. Just take care of yourself, stay hydrated, and bring snacks and possibly your own food. My cross country flight meals have been deli meat. I decided to just eat it anyway but if you want to be safe, doesn’t hurt to bring your own food.

OK. I was told there's an increased risk of clots but its OK to fly just that some choose not to if they're feeling poorly. I've had something booked for a while not thinking it was going to happen. We will go I just hope I feel well during the flight 🤞🏻🙏🏻
