We tried to do a mix and my poor son's bottom paid the price. Exclusively cloth now and will stick to that for our daughter when she's born.

Cloth! We do alvababy diapers (microfiber and hemp inserts) and it's the best thing for my son's butt :D no diaper rashes! I do have a couple sizes of honest that we got as a gift when I was pregnant, and we use those when we're out and about just for convenience.

I would do cloth if our water weren't regulated. We already push the limits on our water use just doing our laundry. I'm a little nervous what our bill will look like adding another person and their clothing and bedding.
