Do you put undershirts on your babies?

Question

How many mamas put short sleeve onesie undershirts on their babies under all their outfits? I put one on all the time. I was always told/taught/read that babies always need one more layer of clothes than us (unless it’s hot outside) because they can’t regulate their body temps properly. I had a friend that questioned me about it and why I do it. I thought pretty much everyone did?

Only if we are going out but not around the house since I keep it pretty cozy inside.

Live in Florida so no. My baby is always on the warmer side. Like me. So just regular outfit and thin blanket. Hates being swaddled

I do it. People on this app made me feel weird for doing it. If I don’t, he gets a rash due to him spitting up and getting his sleeper wet.

I’m in Detroit I’ve always done it with my daughter just because it gets cold but unfortunately my 1 month old daughter pediatrician told me not to do it because she sweats a lot ￼so when we are home no just under shirts but when we go out under shirts and onesie is a must. ￼￼

Floridians here no under shirt, she also runs warm like her father. I'll put socks and mits to keep her feet and little hands kinda warm if we have a cold day, or if it's too cold in the house  
Heck even just a onesie and a blanket make her red, and feel pretty warm

My kids run so warm if I did that they'd be sweating. I do cotton sleeper and swaddle and she is warm and comfy.

I live in the Netherlands and it’s normal here to put something under the normal outfit. It also helps with keeping the diaper in place. It’s now winter here and my daughter wears long sleeved ones under all her outfits

I live in California and I do when he sleeps, it gets cold in my room. My son also sleeps in a cotton Halo sack. I’m waiting for a fleece one to arrive so he can go down to just one layer of clothes at night.

Live in California even tho its colder I dont layer her. She runs pretty warm and is almost always sweating in just one layer. Everytime I have she turns super red and gets overheated. I just 4 layer fold her blanket over her in the carseat and have another covering the carseat. But depending on your weather and your baby who cares? Youre doing great.
