What to count as CD 1?

I’ve had spotting all day and tonight around 9:00pm it has turned to normal red bleeding. Do I count today as day 1 or tomorrow once I’ve had red bleeding for a full day?

My fertility doctor said if by 4 pm is not full flow doesn’t count as day one

My Re also said full flow is day 1.

I was told by my RE that cycle day one is the first day you have bright red bleeding regardless of what time.
