To poop or to not poop?

Ok so I’ve been having this constipation￼ feeling the last week now and I’ve taking 2 stool softeners and nothing to relief the constipation pain feeling. Idk if it it’s constapation or not but that’s what it feels like any help?!but obviously stool softeners aren’t working! But I have this pain as if I was constipated UGHHHHH WHAT DO I DO?

It's horrible. At first I was pooping fine and having some really soft not necessarily loose and then the constipation hit. It hurts so much too. I've tried everything from warm prune juice to activia to nothing but water to greens and it's just horrible. Sometimes I think I'd rather have loose stools with a raw butt than being constipated😌 I Even switched and tried taking the stool softeners at night before bed and still nothing. I do take milk of magnesia which my doctor said is safe but I only take it once a week. It does help. It's definitely not good to strain at all cause you can develop hemorrhoids and I heard they aren't fun at all. So if I push and it's nothing I don't worry about it lol.

I hear you. I’m 15+5 and this week constipation (and the opposite one day 😳) have hit hard. Nothing feels like I’m really “cleared out” lol sorry tmi 😂 my sister said milk of magnesia is great but I haven’t tried it. I’ve just been eating activia yogurt once a day, trying to keep my gut health in check. No real solutions here, just saying I’m in the same boat. Oh and don’t force it! My sister did annnnd she got hemorrhoids which really sucked for the rest of her pregnancy and child birth....

For me I'm either totally constipated and can't go, or I'm having loose bowel movements/diarrhea 😳
It's awful. I've been having the later for 3 days and the stomach pains are as bad as when I'm backed up! It's been awful 😩😅

Have you not had a bowel movement the entire time you have felt like this? I would call your doctor ASAP if that’s the case. A week is way too long to not have a bowel movement.
