Head nodding ?

Anyone’s LO doing this randomly? She will be looking straight at something and then start nodding her head as if saying “yes” multiple times. She acts normally before and after etc 
Idk if it’s just a phase or if it’s something else?

My girl shakes her head no, so kind of similar.

He’s been head bobbing today. All different directions. I think he’s just becoming more aware maybe. It’s funny and interesting to see them change so much in a matter of days/weeks.

Ours is doing head shakes “no” motion randomly. He doesn’t know what it means. I read it’s a self soothing thing somewhere a while back before he was doing it but can’t find the article again. Figured I’d ask the pediatrician at our 1yr appt next month if he’s still doing it. 
We are trying to “play” and do head nods and shakes with the words yes and no so he starts to understand the motion. He has no idea what they mean tho and can’t nod intentionally.
