Cutting back naps??

Y’all my almost 9 month old had been showing signs of cutting out his late afternoon/evening nap but for the past 3 days he’s not napped then at all. So basically his schedule was wake up at 9-930. Then he’d eat a bottle and play then he’d be back down by noon-1230. He’d get back up at 2 and eat and play then he’d lay back down by 430 and be back up by 6-630.

So his current schedule has been wake up at 9-930 eating a bottle, play, eat baby food, eat ANOTHER bottle, then lay down at 2. Then he’ll get back up at like 4. Then a bottle, play, baby food, play, one last bottle for the night and down at 930.

Is it normal for a baby to only nap once a day at this age? My first son has always been a great napper, he still takes a 2 hour nap to this day and he’ll be 3 in May! Anyone else’s baby switching up their schedule??

My son will be 9 months on the first. He is taking one nap for 1-1.5 hours. Sometimes he will do two but then they are only 30-45 mins each. He sleeps about 14 hours at night. So I think it’s fine

I tried Ferber it didn’t work and was such a long process this was way faster. Tough in the beginning but so worth it.

Hey! Yes so another mom on here recommend the Facebook group called (respectful sleep training). I would join the group and read the files! They talk about different methods you can do. The one I chose consisted of having a routine and then putting baby in crib and give them a full hour before you intervene. Then when you do naps during the day you do the same but you don’t go back in until 75 minutes because naps are harder usually. I did this and it only took him 2 1/2 day!! He is now sleeping through the night. I put him down at 6P and he wakes twice to nurse at midnight and 4am. He used to wake up every two hours to feed so I’m fine with the two feeds. Hopefully I can get it to one.

Some days my son only naps once a day and is fine 🤷🏻‍♀️. He is sleeping 12 hours at night now though so it may just be an adjustment phase.

My daughter takes 30 min nap and then 1.5 hr nap each day.. thinking to drop the first nap too but she still not willing to let it go and get real cranky when she only gets one nap so i keep it.
