Ham/turkey okay to eat??

My husband picked up a sandwich at Jersey Mike’s today and now I’m really wanting one! I’ve read that eating deli meat isn’t recommended because of the risk of things like listeria, but I haven’t wanted much meat and hadn’t thought to ask my doctor about it. Can anyone tell me what their doctors have said about it? Really wanting one of those clubs he got! Thank you!

A lot of the food restrictions are outdated. You’re more likely to get listeria from unwashed/improperly washed produce. You can eat the sandwich. I ate subway all the time when I was pregnant with both my baby’s.

I ate cold sandwiches weekly throughout pregnancy. You have the same very low risk of listeria with fruits, veggies and soft serve ice cream.

As long as the meat is cooked I think. Don't eat raw or smoked meat.
