Breast pump advice?

Question

I'm currently 21 weeks but trying to do some research on breast pumps as I plan on feeding (all being well). Has anyone got any favourites they would recommend or any to avoid? I've been looking at the MAM ones but have no clue if double or single is best! (I'm in the UK). So many reviews by the companies but I want to hear from actual people 😂Thanks ladies ☺️

I would reccommend a spectra s2 or s1. S1 can be charged so you dont have to be plugged into a wall (which is amazing if you have to travel!). Both are closed systems, which reduces contamination. Medela is also a great brand, and I used it after my first kiddo was born, but they are an open system, so this time I am definitely going spectra since the reviews are awesome on them, the s2 is fully covered by insurance (as is the medela), and it is a closed system. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I love this pump! Definitely get a double. This one is a closed system, small motor that you charge, and is very discreet. It's way cheaper than the other in bra ones with the motor built in and the pump tubing really isnt that obvious. Each cup holds 8 ounces.

I used a medela with my first. Wish I would've known about spectra! It's super light weight and very quiet. Easy to use controls for let down and suction. Definitely get a double pump no matter what you decide because pumping both sides at once is definitely easier than one side at a time. Look into hands free pumping bras as well so you can multitask while pumping.
