So I got my IUD on thrusday Jan 23, before that I was on birth control pills and it was great the only reason I switched was because I wanted something more long term. Now when I got it on thrusday I had a week left on my pills, which I am finishing.

But my doctor told me to be on the pills for another month just to be safe but I am very confused and I feel like is not necessary.

Does any one know the reason or has had a similar experience?

(Personally I don’t think it’s necessary, maybe even not safe and I think I’m started to get really bad mood swings and cramps)
