Dark positive

I had a full miscarriage confirmed on Tuesday, was checked and I had passed everything. I’ve just tested and the test line came up immediately and very dark, as dark as when I was actually pregnant. I had also drank 3L of water throughout the day before taking the test. I’m so confused. Will it just take a while for levels to go down or has everything not passed?
