Anyone else having a scheduled c section?

Just got confirmation my csection will be Monday afternoon! So excited to meet baby but SO nervous this time. The first time it was an emergency csection so I didn’t have time to let is sink in. Any tips for staying calm leading up to a scheduled csection?

I had a scheduled c section for my first and since you had an emergency one I’m sure that the scheduled one is going to be a lot easier for you! I had mine first thing in the morning and the whole process was very chill. Everything was really relaxed and calm. My recovery was hard like with any c section but it was a lot better then the people I’ve talked to who’ve had to have emergency c sections! So good luck it will be great! As for how to calm the nerves while you wait for the day to come just try to stay as busy as possible!

I’m in literally the exact same boat! My first was emergency c section and this time I’m scheduled to have a c section on Monday at noon!  I’m trying not to overthink things, enjoying that fact that I’ll go in prepared and be able to be more alert this time.  Good luck momma! We will do great.

My first was an emergency. Second was scheduled and it was a lot better afterwards. Even going in more relaxed healing time (for me at least) was quicker. Going in Monday for my 3rd.

You are not alone. I am having a scheduled c-section on February 13th. My first c-section was also an emergency. I wish I had some advice on scheduled c-sections but this will be my first scheduled c-section.
