Transition to a bed from crib questions

Say • Proud mom of a teenager 💙 2003 Then IVF with ICSI and PGS. Healthy baby OCT 2018💙🙏 Another miracle 💙🙏 APR 2020 Praise God

Just wondering how many of you have move your October babies to a bed? How many of you haven't? What age are you planning on it? Tell me you're reasons

My baby boy is still in his crib. He loves it and sleeps 12 hours at night and a 3 hour nap during the day. I'm scared to mess with a great thing.

What are you mamas doing?

My son sleeps well in his crib and moves around a lot so we haven't even talked about moving him to a bed yet.

Daughter is still in a crib. She sleeps well so why change up a good thing. Don’t plan on moving her to a toddler bed till 2-3. I know once I move her she will get up and roam round, now she will wake but will lay in her crib and play with her baby she sleeps with, for a good hour, just gives me some extra time. Sometimes I will put books on her rail to read while she waits for me to get her. We have baby #2 on the way so I don’t want to many changes for her at once so for now I’m just trying to get her use to her being in her crib for a little while so she’s use to that when other baby comes that way if I have to nurse the other baby or something she’s ok for a little bit. We will have to do some room rearranging after the new baby is in a crib so may move her into a bed then but won’t be till the other baby is at least 6 months.

My son is 15 months and still stills in a crib. He’s always been kinda a rough sleeper and has just recently been doing much better so I don’t plan on moving him to a bed until he’s consistently sleeping through the night. Also I know he would stay in a actual bed so I worry about him getting out in the middle of the night and hurting himself or something so will probably wait a while longer:)

And I just transitioned my daughter from a bed to a crib 😂 we bed-shared from day one but I needed to be able to leave her and she doesn’t understand that she needs to stay in bed.

I’m 100% convinced my child would be up at 5am playing with his toys and we wouldn’t even know. He wakes up and never makes a peep. Only way we ever know is he starts beating on the wall. 😂

Daughters been in a bed since a year old, she never slept well in a crib but sleeps 6pm-7am in the bed easy. I spent the first few nights co sleeping with her in her room on her new bed then after that she was good to go. Occasionally she will wake once a night but I just tell her to go to bed, tuck her in and give her a kiss and she's back to sleep. The bed was the best option for us but I wouldn't rush it if your little ones happy in the crib

My girl didn’t like a crib so we changed it for a toddler bed. They are much lower than a normal single bed. she can climb in and out. We just add a bed rail because she moved a lot. She loves it.

Sarah moves to much for us to do a regular bed, I probably won't transition her until she starts to try and climb out of it.

We switched our son at 11 months. He just seemed ready so we did it earlier than most people. He sleeps 11 hours a night and sometimes when he wakes up he will just play for a little and I will get to sleep in lol. We also have all his furniture anchored to the wall and nothing that he can hurt himself with.

Mine will be in a crib as long as I can keep her there.
