So I babysit my nephew without pay while his mum goes out to work, he’s 2 and so draining on me. In my sisters house there is barely any food and he has so many toys, she sent me this after todays session:

Just a couple of things though.

1. His “new” toys are in the open and for him to see in his wardrobe, he asks me to pick him up and he points to what he wants, so clearly he knows they exist.

2. Why is her makeup in his room if it’s not a toy? She gives him old lipglosses and lipsticks so he has something to play when she sits and does hers, she has plenty of space in her built in wardrobe

3. I also made sure it was all cleaned up and put them all away after I cleaned his rooms cause every single toy he owned was thrown all over the room, so I would of seen the lipstick which it didn’t

4. I take out her charger bc she has a Samsung and I have an iPhone, it’s not gonna work In my phone and it was already slightly broken when I watched him last time.

I know he’s a child but he is an absolute draining parasite, and I don’t need to be mean but I don’t get anything in return. I just really need to vent but any advice or anything is appreciated. Like I’m busy as it is, im looking for a job and an apartment as well as trying to free myself from my abusive nan and dad. So I have my own stuff to deal with but I still make time for her bc she’s a single mother and she clearly is struggling

UPDATE: she said she wasn’t having a go at me she just wanted me to know she didn’t want her charger broken and her left with nothing. She said she appreciates my help and I just let her know it stung when she said that cause i really do try and babysit often cause i want her to be able to look after and support both baby and herself

FINAL UPDATE: we have sorted it out, we have both taken each other’s thoughts and wishes into consideration. We both were not exactly in the right headspace when a, she said that and she didn’t mean for it to come off as blunt and harsh and b, I wasn’t in when I made this original post, I was hurt and frustrated and just didn’t understand.
