Bloody mucus in poo? (Baby poo pics)

Question

There appears to be some bloody mucus in my 16 week old LO’s diaper today. And it has a lot more mucus in it than usual. He’s exclusively fed breast milk, both from the breast and bottle.
I can’t see any source of external bleeding...
FTM a little panicky here... Er visit NOW, or wait for my clinical pediatrician to be back on Monday? (It’s Friday night right now)

I would maybe take my baby to urgent care just to check things out. Unless you think something is seriously wrong & needs immediate attention, I would avoid the ER. Could get pricy & all they might really do is tell you it’s an allergy of some sort. 
But again, if baby is acting in pain & just not right , then I’d do the ER. Good luck mama!! Prayers to your sweet babe!!

I would avoid the ER, especially if baby seems to be acting fine. Going to the ER exposes them to all sorts of nasty stuff. Does your doctor’s office have an on-call doctor that you could talk to?

I would check to see if baby has a fever or any other symptoms indicative of a bacterial infection or virus. If not, I would wait until Monday, it's most likely a good intolerance. If your LO does have other symptoms, then yes I would take to ER. 
Good luck mama, it's most likely an intolerance to something you ate that transferred through your breastmilk.

My baby had the exact same thing a week or two ago. But she had no fever, was eating and had multiple diapers, was not lethargic or fussy so I decided to hold off on taking her in. She only had two poops with the slightest tinge of red and then nothing.  I will be bringing it up again at her 4 month appointment but when I called the dr - he was under the impression it could’ve just been a slight anal fissure from pushing too hard or something I ate and transferred to my breast milk but since it wasn’t affecting her in any other way and it didn’t continue there was no reason to be alarmed.
