Did anyone else’s pediatrician recommend this?

At her 9 month check up her doctor recommended weaning from formula around 11 months. She said that since she is such a great eater (she loves pretty much anything and wants to eat food all of the time) that we could focus on giving her the nutrition she needs from food and wean off formula.

I always thought babies NEEDED formula until they are a year old. When I said this to my mom she said there isn’t something that magically happens the day they turn a year... which made sense too.

I’m just a ftm and not really sure what to think. Honestly, I am looking forward to the day I don’t have to buy formula anymore 😂 and she’s almost 10 months and only has a bottle in the morning and night now. She isn’t interested in the day.

So anyways, I was wondering what your pediatricians have recommended?
