When are you trying for another baby? Has anyone gotten pregnant yet? I know most doctors recommend waiting 18 months!!

My sister was 39 and 40 when she had my niece and nephew. They’re 18 months apart and she had successful c-sections for both.

I had my first June 11th at 38yrs old. I was induced and labored 16hrs. Dr decided c-section but it wasn't planned. I'm pregnant with baby #2, due Aug 3rd. I was interested in VBAC but dr said because we ended up with a c-section and it wasn't that long ago we'd do another for this baby. No extra issues so far with this pregnancy, I'm 12 + 4

Only 30 going to be 31 in april but have already started trying  naturally. Will most likely try IVF again at the end of may after their first bday.

If you can wait 18 months, do it! It’s not just the belly healing, it’s rebuilding all the resources for the second baby to have. It’s also a less risky birth overall, despite the mother’s age. 
I asked my midwife if I should wait the 18 months if we decide to have another child, as I’d be 35 by the time the hypothetical baby would be born. She said yes, it’s much better to wait and be older than try to squeeze another baby in before I’m 35.

I’m only 30, but we’ll begin trying around our daughter’s first bday so it will be about 20ish months between deliveries if we conceive fairly quickly. I’ve had friends have successful vbac’s even about 15 months apart.
