Finally said "No."πŸ‘πŸ‘

I'm super proud of myself right now. So long story short my neighbors are the type of people who you do them a favor once and they will continue to ask. I'm the type of person who is too kind (it gets mistaken for weakness) I'm sure a lot of yall can relate. Anyhow, my neighbor always sends her daughter over to ask for things. Most times it's small things so I don't mind too much. I'm the type of person that if I have it, I'll give. Well after four years of living here it's kinda gotten out of hand. They are the same neighbors I posted about using my trampoline. Which I had to put my foot down with also. Yesterday she sends her daughter and grandson over to ask for a ride to dollar general. It's like 10-15 mins away and she needed cereal bc her grandson didnt like the cereal he had. They didnt offer gas money (which sometimes they do sometimes they don't) but I figured whatever. I'm gonna do it out of kindness. So i took her daughter (17yo) to get the cereal. Oh and the last time I gave her a ride she said she needed to buy medicine for her granddaughter, ended up having me take her to some sketchy ass apartments to meet some women. I did NOT like that. So today she comes and asks if I can give her a ride to Fairfield glade (which is 40 minutes away) says she has gas money this time. She never says why btw until we get in the vehicle. I said no. I finally said it! It may sound stupid but I'm always being taken advantage of by them. I don't mind being a good neighbor/person but enough is enough. I'm not a personal taxi. I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant, supposed to be on bed rest (which I told them yesterday) & still they want me to run them around. I'm just glad I finally stood up for myself. At first I felt bad for saying no, now I'm relieved. My husband always tell me "Say no! Ur top nice for your own good."

I will be a nice neighbor. Let you have milk, eggs, sugar, and maybe even give rides to the grocery store. but what I will not do is be a personal taxi for random errands. Period. Feels good lol

Btw didn't know where to post this but can anyone relate? What would you have done? Would you put up with it?
