Any hope after scan?

Hi all - based on my LMP I am 8 weeks exactly. I went in for my first ultrasound and they could only see the gestational sac and the yolk sac which were measuring 6 weeks 5 days. They are going to repeat the ultrasound next week but told me not to be hopeful. Ha anyone experienced this and had a positive second ultrasound? I had a MMC in 2018 and am terrified it is happening again.

I was measuring 1w4d behind when I went for my ultrasound and everything was fine! I'm so sorry you are going through this... it could go either way at this point. If you ovulated later than expected, you could just be earlier in your pregnancy than expected. Could also mean the pregnancy stopped at that point.

I was measuring 6 weeks at my first scan with no heartbeat they told me that's usually not good. A week later I went in and i was measuring 6w1d with a healthy heartbeat! The gestational sac is not a clear indicator of how far along you are

When this happened to me it was a blighted ovum miscarriage. :(

This happened to me last week - I was 7 weeks 1 day. Only saw gestational sac and yolk sac. I went in because I was spotting a brownish color and by the next day I was bleeding. Unfortunately I miscarried. I did read that the embryo can be hiding behind yolk sac- 6 weeks is still early hopefully when u go back they will see a baby !!
