Checking breasts at doctor?

Can I ask for the doctor or nurse to check my breasts? I felt a lump in one a few weeks ago but can't find it again now. I would really like a health professional to check them for me but not sure if that's appropriate? Or who to ask?

I went to the doctor to check my breast after it developed a hard spot (less of a lump as it was the entire underside) and was painful to nurse from. 
Anyways, it was exactly what I thought it was - early mastitis - so didn’t require any treatment other than to breastfeed from it to clear the infection. Even though it wasn’t anything to worry about, I’m glad I went and the doctor was super helpful!
I think for anything like this, it’s absolutely best to get seen, even if you think it’s nothing. Chances are it will be, but a doctor can rule anything sinister out and will always to be happy to put your mind to rest.

You can ask your doctor ANYTHING and they will check you or refer you to a specialist. Dont sit there worried about something when it could be over nothing.
