have you ever had a near death experience?

I’ve been held up 3 different times at 3 different jobs with 3 different objects (a box cutter, a hunting knife, and a gun) so those were pretty terrifying.
Oddly enough though my closest brush with death was from an untreated UTI. I didn’t ha e health insurance and didn’t hav the money to go to the doctor so I thought cranberry juice and Cystex tabs would get rid of it. When I was so jaundiced and couldn’t stand on my own anymore, my boyfriend took me to an urgent care clinic where they informed me I was in the beginning stages of full blown organ failure and if I had gone to sleep that night I wouldn’t have woken up the next day.

I was with a group of people waiting to cross the train tracks and a train was coming so the gates were being lowered. Had I not been shoved out of the way I’d probs be dead or would have suffered a lot of brain damage from getting hit in the head

When I was younger I was in the car with my family. It was night time I forgot where we were going but as we were driving into the intersection all you see if Bright lights flash before our eyes across us. We almost got hit! In 2009 I got hit by a car, that could of been a death incident for all we know. When I was with my oldest daughters dad he tried to beat me with a wooden stick with nails on it, he one time was choking me in a bush, if it wasn’t for someone catching it I would of been killed. He also one time had me on head lock, if he never let go I would of once again possibly been dead.   That’s all I could remember so far.

Twice now I have been in homes where people pull guns out and threaten to shoot the place up. Luckily they didn’t so I am unsure of this counts but I did think I was going to die.

I was hospitalized over 17 times within a two year period, due to low potassium. My lowest levels were at 2.0mmol/L when it is supposed to be between 3.5 and 5.0mmol/L. I had bulimia.

No but about a month ago I went on a day trip from Seattle to Portland and back and on the way back it was dark af out and raining as hard as it could and I thought my friend might’ve been so tired that she’d be falling asleep at the wheel bc I was literally halfway falling asleep so I spent the like 3 hour drive fucking scared out of my mind in like a panic attack state 😅

When I rolled my car in September they told me I was very lucky to be alive. If I hadn’t been wearing my seatbelt I most likely would’ve been ejected from the windshield (which shattered completely). I somehow only walked away with only 4 stitches on my ring finger, and some bumps and bruises. Not even a concussion (so they say, but I had some pretty bad memory loss that makes me feel different. They didn’t test me for one).
Also, when I was 16, I had a seizure in my sleep. I had been drinking the night before (big no no for me, I’m an epileptic and the alcohol interferes with my meds) and was extremely exhausted (which is what always causes my seizures). I went to bed laying on my stomach, didn’t think anything of it because I always do. Around 9 am my little sister heard the Grudge-like sound I make when I have a seizure. If she wouldn’t have heard that, I would have suffocated into my pillow. My mom said when she flipped me over my face was purple and as she was about to call the ambulance, I started breathing again. 
I’ve gotten extremely lucky. I’m now very careful. I don’t drink, I always take my meds, always wear my seatbelt (always did before too), and always pay attention to the road. I can’t believe I’m not dead.

This last Christmas we werw visiting my parents and I was helping my mom by making the sugar cookies. Someone had put a huge glass and metal fruit bowl on top of the fridge. I didn't know this though and went to open the fridge for the dough. Thank goodness my husband was right next to me and caught the bowl, he's much taller so I saw it before I did. If he hadn't caught it I might not have even seen it. The top of the fridge is pretty high and I'm short so without a doubt I would have had to at least go to the ER... at 8pm on Christmas eve. I am very certain I would have died though because that thing is crazy heavy and made out of heavy duty stuff, the glass is almost an inch thick.

I got in a real bad sledding accident once. It was more ice than snow and my sled crashed into something. Because it was ice and not snow, and I went down a super steep hill, I was going SO fast. I couldn’t stop and couldn’t jump off. I hit the object but just barely missed a metal pole  that would have at least knocked me out. My face was so busted up and cut all over from the ice
