Is it weird that I feel more comfortable with a male gynecologist?

Some people don’t care either way but I’ve heard some people say they prefer a woman. I got some recommendations but I went out of my way to look for a well liked male gynecologist. I cannot explain why I prefer a man, i feel more comfortable around male doctors in general. But if it’s my OB he’s gotta be a man.

Honestly I would too. 
My bf is a nurse and the stories he tells me about what his female coworkers talk about is.... hmmm yeah just go with males.

Honestly I’ve felt my male obgyns were gentler. I had a female obgyn with my second and when she did cervix checks it was so unpleasant. With my first it wasn’t bad at all with the male obgyn lol

I prefer males as well! My male obgyn has way better bedside manner and is way easier to talk to. He doesnt talk to me in a condescending way like the female obgyn has. He also answers my questions and doesnt act like I should already know everything!

I actually always preferred a male too! I’ve found that they make more of an effort to be professional and impersonal when they’re diggin around in my business 😂

I have a male Gynocologist and at first I was so worried and scared but he’s so gentle and understanding! I like him so much that I’m going to ask if he can be my doctor when I become pregnant

I prefer women and will always go to a female for my OBGYN stuff, but there’s nothing wrong with you if you prefer male.

I’ve had both. I found the male doc much gentler but I feel like he couldn’t relate to the problem I was complaining about it. it really depends what I’m being seen for. Routine stuff I don’t really care but i appreciate someone who can relate with me when I’m having a problem.
