Took Clomid...then period?!

My MD told me to start Clomid even without getting my period yet (very long cycle). I then got it 4 days after my last pill...has this happened to anyone? Any advice?

That wasn’t very smart of the dr to have you take clomid without having a point of reference for what CD you’re on...she should have waited til you got your period first

Yeah, usually they tell you to start the meds on cd 3.
I take letrozole, but it can cause a miscarriage if I’m already pregnant, so I take HPTs and even when I’ve seemingly got my period I take one more just to be sure before starting the meds.
