Okay going to try to make this short.

Ok so I have a child with my ex boy friend and his going to be 9 this year. My ex and I live in the same town. So my son is able to stay at his days every other day. I never put my ex on child support. I honestly could care less about child support.

We have an agreement that he spends 50/50 with the both of us and every other year we Take turns claiming him. Last year he claimed him and I am letting him claim him this year since I didn’t work last year.

While I found out today (not from him) that he is thinking about moving an hour away.

My son prefers his dad only because he has his one ps4 and gets to play as long as he wants and he has WiFi.

Me on the other hand I am a strict parent.

If my ex is planning on moving out of town I will be fighting for custody. I don’t want my son living with him M-F.

I guess I would like to know is if anyone has gone through custody and what to expect and also any advise.

Edit: we both get him every other day. And if he ends up living with his dad or I, we wouldn’t be able to have him every other day.

At joint custody it would be either of us having him every other weekend.

We would be able to drive him to school or pick him up every other day if he were to live an hour away from who he ends up living with. That’s the problem.
