PSA for those TTC or not
I’ve been seeing a lot of posts lately from people basically not knowing how their body works and it’s very frustrating, so maybe this will help you.
1. You can only get pregnant ONE day a month. A 12-24 hour window when you ovulate. That’s it!
2. However, sperm can live inside you for UP TO 5 days. Depending on your CM.
3. It would be beneficial to you to track your cycle, or even better yet, get on birth control so you don’t have to worry! At the bare minimum, condoms, because not everyone responds to birth control well (if you are not TTC)
4. Precum has a very very very small chance of getting you pregnant. Slim to none. A male would still have to have sperm in his urethra from a previous sexual experience and hasn’t went pee afterwards.
5. The chance of getting pregnant from a mans ejaculation touching the outside of your vagina is almost nothing. If it gets inside, yes possibly. But sperm dies very quickly outside of the human body.
6. You should NOT be taking Plan B more than TWO times per year. It is bad for your body and your cycle. Yes it will push your cycle back. Consider getting on regular birth control or using condoms. There is still a small chance to conceive pregnancy even after taking Plan B - very slim.
7. You can not feel pregnancy symptoms a day after ovulation. It is all a coincidence. The earliest it can implant is day 6, with the average being around day 9. Even then, you still may not feel anything. That is why the first symptom of pregnancy largely remains a missed period.
8. PMS symptoms feel a lot like pregnancy symptoms.
9. It would really help to get in tune with your body. A woman generally has different emotions or symptoms in each different point in their cycle, hence why PMS exists or ovulation cramping/bleeding.
This is not meant to offend anyone. It just seems like there is a lack of sexual education nowadays and I really really hope this will help at least one person. I see many questions related to the above items every single day. Baby dust for those TTC, stay safe for those who are not.
