Mirena removal and pregnancy

Ugh, I'm 22 days past OV and AF is 5 days late but still BFN on my test :( my fiance and I are TTC but this is like a big fat tease. I removed my mirena 4 months ago but heard it can take up to a year to get pregnant after removal!? True or false!? Lemme hear your stories ladies!
