My 1 year busted her lip yesterday is it infected ?

My daughter fell and hit her mouth with her tooth almost 2 weeks ago and the next day after she fell it looked just like that we took her to the doctor and they swabbed her to be sure but they said it turns that color while it’s healing also the Swab came back negative so there was no infection and now she’s healed and it look normal just a little scar, but you can always go to your doctor and get checked out just to double check!

That might just be her lip healing.  My son chewed his lip open after a dentist visit a while back since his mouth was frozen and it looked exactly like this.   I took him to a doctor because I thought it was infected and turns out that’s just the colour your broken skin turns in your mouth due to the moisture, the doc said it was just his open wound in its healing process.  But if your concerned you can always get it checked out.
