Cavities? :(

Question

Do these look like cavities? Her dentist appointment is coming up, and I’m honestly nervous. I feel like such a bad mom.. I brush her teeth morning & night. Floss at night. She mostly drinks water. 😭 not sure if it’s just “stained” or there actually cavities.

I have no idea if they are but cavities are mostly genetic. Some people can never brush their teeth and not have one cavity where some routinely brush and floss and are cavity prone. Whether they are cavities or not don't worry or feel embarrassed. It has nothing to do with how you are doing as a mom.

I had 2 cavities when I was 8, and never had any after that. Luckily they were my baby teeth and we just had them filled, and they fell out later and were replaced by my adult teeth. 
Children often get cavities and it's nothing to freak out about unless it's actually causing them pain or there's another issue with the gums or jaw. It rarely has anything to do with hygiene, and more with genetics and age. 
I actually haven't heard of cavities being very common in adults unless there's a genetic factor or they're REALLY unclean. Sure it does happen, but your kiddo should be fine. See a dentist and they can give you better advice ❤
