At what age does leaving your child with a babysitter for a date night get easier (on the child)? We only use a babysitter maybe 3-4x a year but we do have my parents watch our 3 year old if we need to go away overnight for a wedding or something (again rare).

My sister came to visit last night and spend the night with us and my poor son was so concerned mommy and daddy were leaving him 😥 once he finally realized we weren’t leaving he was happy to have his aunt there.

Unfortunate timing though because we actually have a date night planned tonight so his baby sitter will be here. I know he will be fine and have a great time once we leave but breaks my heart thinking about him stressing out over it 😩

He just turned 3. Does it get easier with age?
