Should I buy a more expensive test or go to the clinic and get a blood test?

I took 2 $1 pregnancy tests on the day of my missed period (3 days ago) and they were both negative. I took another $1 pregnancy test this morning and still it was negative. But I still havent started my period and my cycle is usually regular sometime it might start a day early but usually regular. Should I buy a more expensive test or go to the clinic and get a blood test?

I would wait a week or two to see if your period comes, if not then try a more expensive test like clearblue or first response - just one that is more reputable.
Unfortunately a missed/ late period doesn’t always mean your body is producing enough of the hormone to detect pregnancy yet.

I've read that the dollar store tests are some of the least sensitive of the tests, and need higher levels of hcg to show a positive. They may not show positive so early on. If you really want to put your mind at ease, try a first response in a day or two.
