Breastfeeding question?

Question

If my hubby takes over one night feeding that I’ve pumped will it affect my supply ? Should I be getting up to pump out that feeding that I’m going to miss?

Answer

Depends. How old is your baby? How long do they sleep at night? Are they cluster feeding? Are they going through a growth spurt? Usually in the beginning it’s important to pump when your baby is eating. However, when your supply is established and regulates and baby is going longer stretches at night you don’t have to worry too much about it.

Generally, you should pump every time baby eats; thus negating the benefit of having dad get up with baby so you can sleep.  If baby is a bit older and you can pump enough milk during the day for that feeding, you’ll probably be fine.

F! Same questions I’m 3 weeks pp and trying to do same not sure when to pump and it’s so I can miss that feed and sleep thkugh
